Casa Montelongo, a captivating architectural gem nestled in the heart of La Oliva, Fuerteventura, beckons visitors with its seamless fusion of tradition and modern design. Crafted by the skilled hands of architect Néstor Pérez Batista, this 19th-century house, now transformed into two self-catering units, pays homage to the island's heritage using local materials like stone, wood, clay, lime, and glass.
The project's focus on the urban context aims to establish a close relationship between the house's rooms and the patio, strategically connecting them with gaps in the interior facades. This design choice emphasizes openness and transparency, blurring the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces. Careful attention to lighting, spatial geometry, thermal comfort, and privacy, creating a sense of unity and varied spatial.
Casa Montelongo invites guests to immerse themselves in a serene haven, where minimalism reigns with clean lines, bathing rooms in natural light.
