At Salone del Mobile.Milano 2025, light becomes more than illumination it becomes a language, a responsibility, and a vision for the future. The debut of the Euroluce International Lighting Forum marks a turning point in the way we think about lighting design, sustainability, and human well-being.

Taking place within The Forest of Space—an immersive arena designed by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto this two-day forum brings together over 20 global voices in architecture, science, art, and design. Curated by Annalisa Rosso, the program explores the power of light through a multidisciplinary lens, blending innovation, nature, and cultural reflection.

Living Arena: The Forest of Space by Sou Fujimoto

Constructed from vertical pine beams, the arena draws inspiration from the organic rhythm of forests. Fujimoto’s structure—modular, open, and biophilic—offers a space for transition between order and nature, between technology and emotion.

“The forest is one of humanity’s oldest sources of inspiration—a space for encounter, discovery, and reflection,” says Sou Fujimoto. “This arena invites us to imagine how we want to shape our future, through light and space.”

From Utility to Meaning

“Light defines space, creates sensation, and contributes to well-being,” says Carlo Urbinati, President of Assoluce.

“With this forum, we hope to shift the design mindset—moving light from the end of the process to the center of vision.”

The Euroluce International Lighting Forum is not only a cultural milestone but a new space for conscious, integrated, and emotionally intelligent lighting design. It challenges us to move beyond trends and toward a meaningful future shaped—quite literally—by light.
